United Kennel Club is the primary registry for the Alaskan Klee Kai.  The only other registry recognized for the breed is American Rare Breed Association (ARBA).  If you want to be sure you are getting a purebred AKK please make sure the breeder registers their dogs with UKC or in rare instances ARBA.

The sole breed club for Alaskan Klee Kai received Parent Club Provisional status with UKC in 2017.

The Canine Health Information Center Database for health testing which includes CHIC designation for dogs that have completed all testing recommended for the breed.  In order for an Alaskan Klee Kai to receive a CHIC certificate they must have veterinary health testing for OFA Cardiac, Patellar Luxation, Thyroid and Eyes.  Factor VII deficiency DNA testing is also recommended and can be tracked in the OFA database.
