Fusion of XXcellence Alaskan Klee Kai 

FOXX AKK is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Metroplex.  

 I am an aspiring small home breeder / exhibitor of Alaskan Klee Kai (AKK).

I fell in love with the breed after seeing it on a National Geographic documentary in 2006.

It is my desire to make a positve contribution to the future of the breed by working to show and breed dogs which possess good health, conformation, and temperament and that are even better than their sire and dam.  I am an advocate of health testing to prevent health concerns in future generations of Alaskan Klee Kai.  I ensure all of my breeding potential dogs are OFA certified for Patella Luxation, Cardiac, and Thyroid as well as CERF eye testing prior to their Breeding Quality Examination.  Annual retesting is also done to ensure health issues do not develop as the dog matures.  OFA Hip exams will be done when dogs are between 2-3 years old. 

I met my first AKK at a UKC dog show where Barbara Williams of Heart of Texas Alaskan Klee Kai introduced me to showing with one of her dogs.  I have been bitten by the show bug ever since.  Barbara has become a wonderful friend and mentor.

Rio is my second AKK.  She came from Virginia Skiby's Naitok Kennels in California.  Virginia has also become a wonderful friend and mentor.  I have since received Mikiah and Cierra from Virginia.

One of the newest addition to the FOXX pack is Teeko.  He is from Eileen Gregory in Colorado.   It was such a pleasure to visit Eileen and see all of her beautiful dogs.  Thank you Eileen for sharing your knowlege and experience with me and the rest of the Klee Kai community.  I recently adopted three of her older girls:  Nayak, Atulke and Tuksiarpok.  They have passed thier health tests with no genetic concerns.  All three have received CHIC recognition. 

I am happy to welcome a beautiful little girl to the FOXX pack.  Brandy is a special, beautiful little girl from Bette Cook in Oregon that has the most outgoing personality of all my dogs.  Bette is the sweetest person you could every hope to meet.  We love Brandy so much that we just had to add Dori, who is a full sister to Brandy, to our pack.  Thank you, Bette, for allowing Brandy and Dori to become a part of our family.

Foxxy is my first Alaskan Klee Kai and is a toy size little girl. 

An Alaskan what???? you may ask.  An Alaskan Klee Kai is a rare breed of dog developed by a wonderful lady by the name of Linda Spurlin in the great state of Alaska about 30 years ago.  The breed was developed to be lap-sized miniature Alaskan Huskies.

Bear has become handsome boy and is turning out to be a fantastic sire.  He carries the red color gene and is Factor VII normal.

Bear has passed his first and second year OFA Thyroid, Patellas and Cardiac examinations.  His CBC Superchem and Bile Acid tests were normal. He has also passed his CERF eye examinations.  Click on "Our Boys" or "Our Girls" tab at the top of the page to find links to OFA pages for Bear and others.

This is our handsome Teeko.  He will be a year old in August and will begin his health testing.  We are hoping he becomes a wonderful sire in our breeding program.  He carries the red color gene and is a Factor VII carrier.  He will only be bred to Factor VII normal females.
